it’s so dumb that piercings and tattoos can impact your ability to find a job. employers shouldn’t be allowed to discriminate based on gender, race, sexual orientation, or level of punk-rockness

If you were about to have a surgery done, would you feel comfortable if she/he had gages and tattoos all over their face?

I mean presumably they went to medical school I literally would not give a single shit what they decided to put on their face

Dude in order to even get into an OR surgeons have to go to med school for 8 years and then they have to do their internship and residency where they are being watched at every moment so really they go through 15/16 years of medical training before they are technically out of training! So Im going to assume that that punk-rock surgeon has gone through a crap load of medical training and I would judge his abilities based on that NOT based off his awesome piercings and tats

I actually think this was one of my favorite and most powerful scenes in the show. Kate Mulgrew expertly portrayed the hurt we’ve all felt at one point or another when we were ostracized by people we wanted so desperately to be accepted by and the fact that this feeling knows no boundaries of age.
